Missed Yard Waste Collection

Leaf and yard waste is collected on your scheduled collection day.

If collection days are missed or there is an excessive amount of leaf and yard waste material, consider alternative disposal options. Refer to the Waste Collection Schedule  and wait until the next leaf and yard collection day.

If the City's leaf and yard waste collection program has ended for the year, residents will be required to wait until the start of the spring leaf and yard waste collection program for next year’s program, which starts in April.

Leaf and yard waste should be placed at the curb no earlier than 6 p.m. the night before collection and no later than 7 a.m. on the day of collection. The time of collection could change at any time without notice. Companies hired for lawn care services should be notified of these requirements.  

Acceptable containers 

• Kraft paper bags designed for leaf and yard waste material 
• designated open-top rigid containers such as a regulation sized garbage containers marked 'Leaf and Yard Waste'  

Unacceptable containers

• plastic bags 
• cardboard boxes 
• oversized rigid containers 
• green bins 
• recycling blue boxes
• rigid containers with lids
